This is something else. What a way to learn.
You can read , watch and listen It’s the Way forward
I must admit to be very sceptical about this course. I have practised Tai Chi for a couple of years, both in person classes and online during lockdown, however haven't practised for a while. I saw the ad on Facebook and bought the book and I'm glad I did. I've enjoyed working through the lessons in bite size chunks and reading all the background to the moves. I tend to work from the book and then watch the videos before moving on to the next one.
For those new to Tai Chi or those like me with a bit of experience, this is a great course, easy to follow and really good value for money.
Thank you katherine for your review.🙏 I hope the course and book has now kick-started your Tai Chi again and that you will continue your practice. If I can do anything else, please get in touch. Thanks again. Paul
The Beginner’s Guide is well written and (thankfully, in this age of carelessly published books) well edited. The design is beautiful, too. The most important quality, though, is its gentle manner of communicating how to approach and learn a wonderful art.
Many thanks Stephen for your review and so glad that it's soft suggestions and explanations have been of use to you. So I am happy to know that you have ordered the big Illustrated Workbook, as this takes those fundamental ideas and plays with them in new and interactive ways. And finally, to just to remind you that there are 2 courses to accompany these workbooks whenever you wish to take them up.
Really good concise book covering a ten movement form, I've been studying tai chi for around five years, and Paul has made the basic movements understandable and accessible to anyone, now comes the hard part mastering the movements and improving. Well worth a read.
This book and--I suggest--some of the videos are as close as you're going to get to live one-on-one teaching. The approach is smart, creative and incredibly enjoyable. I've followed Paul's work for years and he keeps to the heart of the practice without any of the unnecessary, exotic coverings. Highly recommended.
